About Myself
Welcome to my portfolio!
I'm an avid game developer freshly graduated from the Game Software Development course at Sheffield Hallam University. Whilst my main focus and greatest abilities lie within gameplay programming I still enjoy getting involved with the art and design side of development.
Sadly not all of the items in the portfolio are available to download/play right now; but where/when possible I will try make as many of them available as I can!
This game was a final year project working alongside art and design students to develop a PS4 game prototype using the PhyreEngine. I came up with the concept and pitched the idea against many others to be given the chance for it to be developed.
The general idea is for "Smash Bros" style game play, but simpler and in some cases more immediately enjoyable and appealing; the overwhelming response from plays has been very positive. Since graduating I have been working to remake the game from scratch using Unity.

Retro Fusion
(Indie - PSP)
So this game I've been developing all by myself in the Steel Minions studio. Using the Steel Engine I've been responsible for all the art, design, and programming of the game.
Originally planned as one of the final PlayStation Minis titles for the PSP and PS3, it will only be available on the PS3; developing it on the PSP however gave me great experience working within the constraints of the hardware.
I also have the pleasure of taking this game to showcase at the Game Republic Student showcase.
(Longer/better/newer footage soon!)

Greyhound Betting Game
(Contract - GameMaker)
This game was produced by the Steel Minions Studio under contract for the Owlerton Stadium race track in Sheffield.
They desired a promotional game for their website to help drive traffic and interest.
I worked, as lead programmer, with an artist and a technical programmer who handled the server/back end code.
The game was created using GameMaker.

Motorway Mayhem
(Project - DirectX)
This was a second year project working with DirectX. Easily the oldest project currently on this portfolio, I am nether the less very proud of it.
All models and textures in the game were made by myself, and I'm very happy with how the final version turned out.
It also did well at the end of year showcase that year!
